Hey everyone! This is my first post, and probably 5th commodore!

I've never had a Calais or anything with power windows. Both my rear windows are not functioning. Now before anyone says it, I HAVE checked the control box, and the standard repair (solder joints) had been done previously, but I touched them up just to be sure. No fix.

Next I pulled the door trims off, and checked that I was getting power to the switches (White/Blk stripe wire) which I am. I directly connected the White/blk wire with +12v to the motor plug (yellow wire) but nothing happened on either side. Does this mean I have 2 rooted window motors?

Cheers!

Get some long wire and connect the motors to the battery and see if they come to life.

Do I connect positive AND negative? or are the motors grounded on the doors themselves?

That's correct. Both front windows work fine but both back windows do not. I tested all the switches and they are fine.

I jumped the motors from the battery, and they both made a click, like they are trying to turn, but are stuck.

Mine was doing that for a bit. Push back and forward on your switch. Would help if you have a mate there so when you go to wind it down. Get him to softly slide it down.

if this is your first post it might lead me to believe you just bought the car? has it been sitting long?

Yeah, I just bought the car. It was driven daily until about 2 weeks ago. I'll give wiggling and tapping the motors a go, they might just be stuck from under-use. Let you know how it hows.
