Hey guys the bolts that are used for the clutch fan that are in the front pulley, im having troubles getting them out due to the pulley spinning while trying to ratchet them out... advice?thanks
Use another ratchet or spanner on the opposite bolt, and force the opposite way Do this working around in circles, (and I know at first this tightens some bolts) but eventually you'll get to a point where they're all a little bit looser and easily removed. I personally use a spanner with a steel pole over the end of it, resting against something solid, then just go nuts with another double-spanner or spanner-pole on the other end.
The opposite bolt? wont be able to get another ratchet in there unless im not understanding what your saying. Im talking about the waterpump pulley... ill go have another crack anyway
You wont be able to use a ratchet, just use 2 ring or open end spanners. One on one side holding it from spinning, and the other to undo them. Its a bit awkward but not hard at all
I wont be able to get anything behind the pulley to hold the other end, thats my problem.. Heres a pic anyway
hold one bolt with a ring spanner and undo the others with another ring spanner then when 3 are loose turn it so you hold one of the loose ones with a ring spanner and undo the last tight one

Putting the clutch fan back on previous owner had a useless thermo was to small for the motor so bought a clutch fan off reaper. Anyways cheers for the pic now I understand what morton was trying to explain!
i usually jam a long screwdriver against the shaft and one of the bolts rotating as i go until all are loose
