Hi guys,
Was just wondering if anyone could help me out I have a 1991 vn commodore 5 speed manual and I just replaced the clutch release bearing and my gear stick doesn’t seem to move freely when it’s in neutral and won’t go into gears properly

Did you check the clutch pedal height ? 170mm to the floor pan.

Long shot- the clutch plate is supposed to be installed with the long hub nose facing the flywheel, damper springs facing the gearbox. Maybe you installed the plate back to front.

Is the new bearing identical to the old bearing? I assume the new bearing fitted the fork correctly. This is normally a pretty straightforward job.

Yes everything fitted fine
I took it for a test drive and when the gear stick was in neutral it was in gear and would only go into 3rd and 4th gear

I'd have a look at the selectors and their linkages.
