Hey guys,

couple questions: What is the name of the VN engine? I've googled it and it comes up with alot of results like: L27, L67, LN3 designation etc etc etc...!

Is this the same name of the engine in the US aswell, or did they call it something different over there?

On that topic, what buick models was the vn engine orignally released on???

cheers boys....

The series 1 engine is basically the LN3 engine from the states, but the series 2 engine is the L27. There are a few differences between the ones we have in our cars and the ones you find in the states though.

On the net it says the LN3 was in the following cars (to name a few of them!):
Oldsmobile Delta 88
Pontiac Bonneville
Buick Regal
Buick LeSabre
Buick Electra
Buick Reatta
Buick Riviera

The L27 was then in the following cars as well:
Buick Century
Buick Skylark
Pontiac Grand Am
Oldsmobile Achieva
Oldsmobile Calais
Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

Just a note, the Ecotec engine is the L36 and the supercharged ecotec engine is the L67.
