VN level 2 tacho V8 to V6

i thought i had seen a thread on this and have been googling it but cannot locate it.

I'd like to know how how to convert a level 2 tacho from v8 to v6.

I have upgraded my VN SS from level 2 to level 3 no problems but the level two dash i removed i'd like to put into a VP v6 that has level 1 cluster.

anyone have that info or can locate a thread showing how to?

Thanks for that but level three is totally different gear to level one and two and they don't interchange

a quick search i can only find the conversion information for l3 tacho from v6 to v8, but id expect the tacho pcb to be very similar in componentry to an l2. pull it apart and have a looksee

Get both dashes side by side and compare the pinouts on the back for all three connections. I think from memory 12 pinouts x 3 connectors, e.g. connector 1 pin 1 = Item X and connector 1 pin 1 on the other dash = Item X
