I have super super lows in the back of my calais, dropped the back of my car bout 4-5 inches, standard shocks on my car too, when you jack on side up they are solid in there, we have warrents every 6 months in nz, so even if it didnt pass its only a matter of chucking the stock ones in for a day. Im from newy in oz originally, somehow i dont think i would get away with it there, but kiwi cops are a bit slow, and commodores arent your usual copperbait, evo's and wrx's distract the law's eyes from my car.

That's what i was thinking because when i brought the car (with chopped springs in the rear) to get the roady i had to take them out obviously i didn't even have to take off the shock before i could pull the spring out which is dangerous.

If you jack up the car and the spring is secure (super lows) with standard shocks it should be okay just won't be quite as comfortable.

Just to give you some idea of cost, Lachie.
I got a quote today at Pedders
Springs front and rear, Sport rider shocks for the front and Comfort gas in the rear as I still want a reasonable ride
$920 fitted and wheel aligned.
Not saying you should go the Pedders but at least it gives you a ball park on price.

Man that's expensive i went in with my mate today who's a mate of the owner and piceked up some brand new shorter shocks (Sport rider) for $118 and adjustable panhard rod $150 and springs about $50.

I'm so happy with the package, no more crab walking lol.
