pathfinder with vn v6
hey, i have a series 1 vn v6 motor, i know, they suck, but it was there when i bought it, i'm trying to replace the rear main seal, but i'm having trouble locating one, holden say they're obsolete, so i tried repco, i got a 2 piece rubber one which didn't fit, then they gave me one for a vp with a bigger sized crank, so that didn't work, i got a rope type one from veales but it's a lot bigger than the gap i have, i can't match it, coz there wasn't one in the engine! what can i do?

go to your local wreckers and see if you can pick up an old one off a blown motor to match it up.
Also try supercheap, autobarn, auto pro, bursons ect... you might find atleast someone that works there knows their parts.
They might be obsulete acording to holden. (genuine)
But they still sell aftermarket rm seals at auto shops
