Hello, I have a vn S1 motor in the backyard and i was wondering what year it would be, and if there is anyway to check something on the engine to see what its build date was if its 89 or 90.The only differents is the Injection rail, mine has an alan key at the front on both sides and this other 1 doe'snt.
you maybe able to tell by the engine #.....it may have 89 or 90 in with the #'s i doubt whether there would be much difference because the series 1 motors were imported from the states
I was going to take the Bellmouth out of my S1 vn. so i pulled it off and checked but it did not have one so yeah.
if you could track down the doner vehicle ( almost impossible unless its still going ) then you would be able to find out.
you will find a heap of #'s lasered onto the block....front just a tad to the passenger side of motor, they may have #'s that correspond to year like i said, but from memory,i think those #"s match up with your VIN # ,unless another motor has been put in
its like VH111something and the old one is VH104 somthing so yeah i will look tomorrow just wondering what date it is and what year.
