    Hi ppl,

I have a idle problem with my vn ss.. il try to cut it short but with most details as possible for those who can help me.

    (It's Manual, No A/C...)

This happened few months ago after it (the car) got fiddled with.. Not sure if something got knocked out of place or what but cant seem to find the problem.

On Cold start during open loop mode, The car idles fine no dramas. smooth as at around 1,000 - 1,200 rpm!!

In closed loop mode and the car is relatively warm. The idle drops to around 500 then kicks back up to 1000-1200. then it idles fine for a second or two then it does it again. Occasionally it will just drop and go up, over and over on idle. At times it will drop almost about to stall then kick back up into rev.

If i take it for a short drive and come back to a stop on neutral and leave it idling it will idle fine for 30 seconds or so then it will start happening again..

It also starts happening when the thermo fan kicks in! Then when it turns off the car will idle fine again.

    Is it a power problem?

What has been replaced so far?
Ignition coil + Ignition coil lead
Spark plugs + leads are pretty new, few months old
Replaced battery terminals, freshened alternator wire to the terminal up
Vacumm hose from top of manifold to Fuel reg
Vacumm hose from top of manifold to map sensor
    Oxygen sensor

I havent yet reset the computer, dont know if that will help. I dont know how to reset it so if anyone can guide me if that will help..
Haven't checked the IAC yet either.......

    Any suggestions opinions??

i think it may be running lean in closed loop mode.
try resetting your computer and run some injector cleaner through it as well.

to reset your computer disconnet the battery for thirty seconds, reconnect the battery and go for a short drive.
