Hey guys,
Just wondering if there’s a trick to removing the horn pad on a vn ss?
Want to change the ss wheel to a momo.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Look behind wheel to see if any screws to undo...if none like most of vn-vs non airbag cars you peel horn cover off spokes unplug horn earth...then can get to bolt holding steering wheel onto shaft.

vn ss wheel would be like calais 4 spoke I assume.

Can use steering pulley remover(?) or try to break ya nose reefing on steering wheel with no bolt on shaft or leave it on by a few threads & not break ya nose.

No trick, fingers either side of the horn pad and pull, no screws, it just clips in.

If it works like a VQ you pull it with your fingers one corner at a time. Don't use anything heavy like a screwdriver- just fingers.

These wheels are hard to find in good condition. Most places ask $400 for a good one. I have a VP SS wheel that I repaired and the horn pad just pulls off. If it's stuck there is something not right. The retaining posts do snap I wonder if yours has been glued on?

Cheers guys, I may keep it though. I’m hoping it’s not been glued on...
