VN T700 Tranny possible to cause a shudder?

had a similar problem with my VP. Had a shudder under load at about 95 to 100kph. Eg uphill under acceleration.
Tracked it done to the torque converter, apparently they are prone to warping with excess heat and causes a problem similar to what you are discribing.

Yeah,most vibrations/shudders in Auto's are the TC or Tailshaft Bearings or the TS itself going out of balance.

Not necessarily,that's why getting a Tranny Specialist to have a look will probably save you a lot of time and grief.

only you know you car. If you feel the drive shaft bearing and shaft itself are good then good chance of the Torque converter playing up.
You are in a good position with a " recon gear box" all i would say is if you fit the new gear box seriously consider changing the torque converter as you will be gutted after changing the trans and the fault is still there.
If the recon trans has the torgue converter as well you are mint.
