hey all didn't find aynthing, so anyone know a good company in Melbourne who can isntall a tow bar n ball to a VN? or is it easier to go to a wreaker and get a second hand one and bolt it myself? i had one once, but it was removed after a rear end accident any help would be much appreicaited thanks
The maximum towing capacity of a VN is 2100kg so no it wouldn't do it legally. Any towbar place will do it. I wouldn't recommend a S/H one because you don't know if it has been in an accident. The heavy duty bar should be around the $400 mark fitted.
1800kg vn? 800kg trailer? are you sure? i dont think a vn v6 would tow that much weight, the auto/manual would probably give out me thinks especially if you tow that up steep inclines.
i think the trailer is about 800 kg, can't be sure but its the car trailer if it helps good point, i'm guessing the VN woudln't be capable of towing itself cheers guys
