VN tow bar issues

    hey all
    didn't find aynthing, so
    anyone know a good company in Melbourne who can isntall a tow bar n ball to a VN?
    or is it easier to go to a wreaker and get a second hand one and bolt it myself?
    i had one once, but it was removed after a rear end accident

    any help would be much appreicaited :D thanks

    also would a vn be capable of towing another vn? approx 1800kg vn and car 800 kg car trailer?

    The maximum towing capacity of a VN is 2100kg so no it wouldn't do it legally. Any towbar place will do it. I wouldn't recommend a S/H one because you don't know if it has been in an accident. The heavy duty bar should be around the $400 mark fitted.

    1800kg vn? 800kg trailer? are you sure? i dont think a vn v6 would tow that much weight, the auto/manual would probably give out me thinks especially if you tow that up steep inclines.

    i think the trailer is about 800 kg, can't be sure
    but its the car trailer if it helps
    good point, i'm guessing the VN woudln't be capable of towing itself :p

    try commodore frenzy in bayswater i got one for my wagon for 60 bucks pickup and fitting was easy even though my car was a virgin in the bar department
