What trailing arm/arms are you doing, uppers, lowers or both?

Shouldn't need to remove anything to fit them, if you have removed the old ones already then the diff would have rotated somewhat most likely making the distance between the mounts different. You just need to get the diff housing rotated to the position where the arms fit. You will need the car jacked off the chassis rails though not the diff housing.

Best order of assembly:

1) lower arms to diff and chassis
2) locate springs and raise diff
3) upper arms to chassis
4) raise + rotate diff and bolt upper arms to diff
5) swaybar
6) shocks
7) brake line fittings, handbrake cables, etc etc.
