no its gonna be out of the car..haha as if im gonna try and lift it out of the car lol i ain't that stupid :p

heres the story...i have a v6 and i want to change all gaskets...i have a engine stand.....but need to get it from ground to stand so i can work on it...i dont have a engin crane....the engin is already out of car and was wondering if its possible for me and a few mates to lift it (about half a metre) to the stand ////hence whay i was wondering what they weigh. i could strip it down to the block and lift it as it wont be too heavy without the top end on it (heads, manifolds etc) putting it back in the car i will use a engin crane but cant get one atm

heads and inlet off. it is possible. its a long time to be holding the weight up while you mount it in the stand though..

leave heads on, and exhaust manifolds(to grab onto), 2 people can lift it, and get a third to bolt the motor to the stand. if youve got enough, go four people on the motor.

though id be using something to hang it while its getting bolted to the stand.

my dad and i have moved a couple on and off trailers. to get one onto the stand, we used a 2t hand winch, some chain, d shackles and a seatbelt tied to the rail on the shed roof. worked a treat, just make sure the belts knots are done right so they dont slip out.
