So i know theres alot of threads on this but I recently done my rear main seal and took it for a drive and its still leaking,

wondering will it leak at idle? Just wondering if i can leave it running and watch for a leak to make sure its the rear main

It will probably be leaking at idle but you won't be able to see it, it'll be flung off in every direction from the centrifugal force of the spinning crank and flywheel/ring gear.

As it's a s1 rope seal, try a bottle of stop leak (it works well on these types of seals)
Does stuff all on a neoprene seal though.
