VN V6 Trans Slipping on up and down shifts

hey everyone,i have a slight problem with my trans on my vn v6 auto trans.Its fine when its cold but when it warms up the up changes are a little sloppy and slips a little,and when kicking down a gear it also feels the same.like its slipping,but as i said its fine when its cold..does anyone have any ideas on wat it could be??i live at noarlunga so if anyone knows a good decent reliable trans specialist up this way i would be glad to let them have a look at it.thanks ppls. :)

stupid question but i will ask it anyways what are your fluid levels like and how long since the box has had fresh fluid in it ?

and if you are going to take it to a shop get a stage 2 shift kit and get them to fit it then the box will be good for years to come

fluid levels are fine,and im not sure when it had the fluid changed as i have only just bought the car 3 weeks ago.hoping it just needs a service and filter.will def get the shift kit at some stage tho.

I wouldn't go putting a shift kit until you get it fixed first. The gearboxes don't slip, virtually impossible. Could be a buggered torque converter. Or low on fluid. Get it serviced and get the dudes to check your box out for anything else.
It's usually the service pistons that let go before the actual clutch bands go. If clutch bands go, might as well be up for a reco.

Nah they do.... a lot...

Id say its up for a rebuild if its doing it a lot like that.... it might be shitty fluid but still....

its going in tomorrow morning for a service so that might sort it out,if not its prob rebuild time and a shifty.will let ya know how it goes :)

got it serviced and it seems alot better now.not slipping at all when changing up or down now,def getting the shifty done soon tho :)
