I have finished the front loom for the lights , horn etc. As you can see I got my hands on some factory style push in zip ties and routed the loom along the passenger guard and across and under the radiator support panel.

The passenger side healight loom will be completely hidden as my breather box will sit in front of it. Added bonus :D

As you can see I have installed two grommets in the chassis rails so the wiring didn't foul on the bumper bar mounting position.

Horn all wired up
finishedloom-7.jpg

Where the wiring rests on the sharp edges of the panel I'm going to install some rubber to prevent wear on the loom itself.

I still need to install my radiator and fans then wire up the Positive and earth wires for the fans

Transcooler +Radiator and fans are next on my list followed by sorting out a brake booster and master cylinder setup.

Got some more wiring done yesterday!

I have been focusing on the radiator fan mounting and getting the wiring as neat as possible while also being able to remove the fans with ease. There are two sets of spade connectors setup up under the electrical tape that can be undone so the fans and radiator itself can be removed. The previous setup was a real headf%ck as the fans were hard wired into the loom and had to stay in the engine bay when the radiator was removed.

One of the fans motors supplied in my turbo kit had been tight ever since the car was first run in, I went out and ordered another one to replace it as i don't want it completely failing under boost.

Also finished up the fuse box earths and re-installed the aerial setup to the passenger sill panel.

The windscreen wiper motor and washer bottle have both had their wiring routed but I still need to connect them up under the dash. Note the washer bottle wiring has a fair bit of length on it so it can be hidden behind the brake booster.

I'm getting there slowly..:D

More progress.

Thanks to Matt at Sydney Race Brakes for sorting me out with a modified vt master/booster setup. I need to make up the passenger side caliper brake line as i removed it when the bay was painted and bent it a bit...woops! I also need to have my original lines ball flared to suit the vt master cylinder connections.

Finding a mobile brake specialist that will make up custom lines is proving difficult. I have found 2 workshops that will do it if i tow it to them but really just want someone to come and make me up a line. Phone will be running hot on Monday

Managed to find a guy to come around and make me up some new brake lines to suit the new master cylinder setup. The line that runs all the way under the car to the diff was a real prick to replace as i had to do it on stands instead of a hoist, plus my battery earth cable runs along it so ever cable tie for that had to be removed then replaced. Have to thank Paul from Daggers Race Brakes for coming around and making up the lines and also supplying me with braided front lines to the calipers. I will get some pics of those once i fit them.

Progress on my engine loom.
brakelines-2.jpg

I'm stuck on how to wire up my injectors.I want to run the injector wiring under the rails but the black connectors foul on my inlet manifold when the injectors are turned around. I'm trying to find out if you can get differnt styles of injector connectors say with a right angle instead of aiming straight up in the air. Other wise i will have to just turn the injectors back around and tuck each seperate wiring loom back under the rails.

Ok spent the weekend knocking off the engine wiring. I have run the main loom down a fair distance away from the drivers side exhaust manifold to keep the heat off it. The wires will be properly taped up then covered in convoluted piping. I'm going to use the two threads on the side of the sump to mount two d loops to hold it all nice and tight.

I couldn't manage to fit the injector wiring under the fuel rails so i bit the bullet and just wired them up the original way. I don't really like seeing the wiring but its very minimal.

Path of wiring loom behind motor.

Here is the finished end of the loom. Just need to re-install the motor in the engine bay then feed it through a grommet in the firewall then connect it up inside the cabin.:D

Motor should be going in the bay next weekend if all goes to plan :D
