Hi all.

Trying to source the reason why I don't have injector pulse now.

Upgraded to a walbro fuel pump and started the car to test it.fuel pump worked perfect but had noticed it was running on 7.I had noticed one injector plug was failing to make a conection and had an exposed wire and it earthed out.soon after it died.

Has fuel pressure

Has spark at the plugs

Put 4 old injectors in one bank and no fuel spray

If I disconnect all the Injectors and check the volts at the injector plugs it reads 12v on one and 10.8 on the other .if I connect the Injectors back up I get 12v on one side and 0v on the other.

I'm wondering if the ECU has cooked itself after the injector plug earthedout on the manifold.?

Check fuses. Each bank may be fused separately.
Shorting out an injection signal wire won’t blow an ECU.

... and always test for voltage with the plugs connected, and preferably under load (operating).

edit: actually, your test tells me there may be a high resistance somewhere in the power line to the bank with 0 volts. Check all of your connectors for proper contact.

edit 2: do you mean 0 volts on one bank, or on one wire?

0v on one wire.

But equal across the 8 injector plugs

0v on one wire on each injector plug.

I'm sure it should have 12v on each wire

Ahh, I see. In that case each injector (two wires) should have:

Ignition on - 12v on both wires (earth wire is not grounded).
Engine running - 12v on one wire, changing voltage proportionate to injector pulse width on the other. 10.8v sounds plausible.

A volt meter really isn’t the best method of checking injector firing though, only power and grounds. You need a noid light or a scope to check operation.
