Vn v8 miss and high idle

Hi I have a vn v8 when I start the car the idle/rpm is where it should be but has a miss in it then once you tap the accelerator it idles at 1500rpm and the miss disappears. It idles at 1500rpm every time I stop but once car is turned off then back on again the idle is normal but misfires again until you tap accelerator and the idle is back to 1500rpm again. Has anybody got an idea what’s going on? Any help would be appreciated

I'd start by making sure the throttle cable is moving freely and if that's OK I'd look at the IAC valve.

Hows your oil consumption lately .... sounds like inlet manifold leaking ...
