Nah we got it done. But there was much swearing, childish name calling and insults being thrown.... poor kid couldn't get a word in!
lol, worth the key strokes... yeah man completely useless, and no id never even entertain thinking of having him help me with something that important. he has to ask his mommy if the dishwasher is clean or dirty before taking a dish, and hes 21 years old...
one year of dust. gave it a rinse and packed it up. home (in i hope in one piece, haven't unwrapped it yet. had to contort it a bit to get it in the car, hope it didnt crack the paint.)
so i plugged in the power door lock module and the locks keep popping to the unlocked position... ok so ill deal with that eventually....
I've found two causes of the phantom door locks, first was a spare remote being pressed in a bag. Second was resistance of the drivers or passenger door mechanism, a bit of a clean a grease of the moving parts and it was all good! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
hmmmm, as long as it is the correct remote for the unit (assuming you grabbed a calais spec one) I'm out of ideas.
actually the lock solenoid for the drivers door doesn't seem to be working... time to take the door trim off....
I can't remember the wire colors but there is two wires in drivers door loom that if you earth one out it will lock the car and the other wire will unlock the car.
If I got out of bed I could grab my books and look them up for you... but then my wife will want me to do stuff around the house as I'm not working today.... what to do what to do....
also the problem is too that ive used a VS door loom on the drivers door and i dont know if thats causing the problem too.... everything else works fine, power windows and mirrors and such...
