my mum used to have a datsun 280zx targa and that roof liner brings back memories. it had a red velour interior.

are you going to cover the pillar trims in the same material or just the roof liner?

just the headliner for now. i kind of want ot limit it to the roof. so if someone looks in the window everything looks stock, its only for passengers to enjoy.

cant believe you actually took the calipers off, most JC'ers just spend the afternoon masking everything :p

rebuilt the master cylinder and havent installed it yet, so taking them off dosent make a difference except no masking :)

yea ive got 2 new front rotors going on with new pads thanks to a garage clean out in the JC classified section... i scored a new trans service kit with oil, new engine oil filter, 2 genuine vp tail lights (ones i repainted), 2 vn vp service manuals, new front rotors with pads, 2 trans coolers, spare series 2 v6 radiator (used), holden coffee mug, all for $100 delivered to my work. it was a no brainer.

this car used to have the hdt or hsv or something dorito wheels on it, and they couldnt get the lock nut off so they snapped it.

the piston boots were all tore up so i ended up getting a new kit for each side.. fitting them was fun... getting new wheel bearings to go with the new rotors too... may as well

cleaned the stub axles with thinners on a rag, packed the new bearings, stub axle and inner rotor with bearing grease. then cleaned the castle nut and washer in a cup of thinners (was no dust cap on the rotors so it was covered in greasy sludge, have to grab a set from the wreckers). after all that i spent 40 minutes looking for my split pins, may have used them all. looks like ill have to buy some more...

getting there...
