VP BT1 V8
Hi my VP V8 center bearing is shagged and I want to fit a spare tailshaft while I fix mine.
I was told it was from a VN V8 auto.
The only thing i have noticed is that the rear section shaft is longer on the VN but total length is the same.
The rear uni section is shorter on the VN one as per pics. Will that matter as total length is the same?

Thanks

Providing the centre bearing point bolts up and the rear uni bolts up, no problems swapping them over

you'll want to use some wet and dry paper first to polish up the yoke section that fits into the transmission so it doesn't tear up the rear tranny seal.

it looks like you have a v6 shaft with the smaller rear uni, also the v8 shaft has a bigger velocity joint in circumference than the v6 rear section
