Since then ive installed roller rockers yt 1.8 ratio, changed intake location, Removed xr6t intercooler and replaced with 600x300 intercooler and changed all piping (which fixed many/all boost leaks), given the car a full service with better quality plugs/leads etc and upped the boost to 12psi. So im estimating it to be around 200rwkw. But untill its next tune i wont know for sure but its definatly a TOTALLY different car to drive now. Other The car was purchased as a Green VP Executive. I Then converted the car to a VN (i think they look better )) included alongside a respray was.... - Front Guards (Vn have shorter indicators) - New Headlights - New Indicators - New Front Bar (vn) - New Rear Bar (vn) - New Boot Garnish (vn) - New Tail Lights - New Tail Light Wiring Lumes - New Door/Boot Seals and a stack load of other stuff. The Car has been painted "Absynth Yellow". Here are a few progress pictures. (before and after) Latest Addition (pictures coming shortly) - Added HSV Coulsen Front Seats - Added VS Senator Rear Seat
Bloody nice, i love the yellow interceptor look on VN's and VL's. Looks tough when it's clean. I like this car!!! You did a bloody good job converting her from a VP to a VN.
the car is running 12psi at the moment. and running really nice. Ive been adjusting the tune myself (road tune) but ill be taking it to my tuner in townsville in the coming weeks to finish the tune. the picture of the car when it was a vp and green shows the old intercooler and home piping job haha.. The next big move for the car would be a new turbo manifold (i hate were the turbo sits on this setup amongst other things) and upgrading to a internally gated gt3540. Ive got another engine that im slowly building up with forgies, cam etc etc for when this engine goes bang lol.
also im not a bit fan of twin throttle setups on forced induction cars... i dont really think its worth it to be honest. its more of a setup for n/a cars
Car looks awsome man and nice colour 2 but would have left the VP guards n indicators on lol. Wats the deal with changing 2 the VZ mater booster? was it a hard job 2 do and did it cost much?
not sure what the deal is with the vz master booster is... it came setup when i purchased the car. it looks bigger than the factory one and seems to work well
yeah i love my 3.8 turbo . im on the hunt for other manifolds at teh moment (the one were the crossover pipe goes across the back of the engine and the turbo sits on the passenger bank sitting to the front) anyone have any ideas to were i could find them?
very nice mate, and good job converting to vn, vn's just have a tougher look to them then the vp's do
