Hi peeps very new to this site... the knob on the right hand side (head lights) of my 1992 VP dash has lets say ####ed itself... i fixed it with glue 6 months back and now the inside has worn out, i have tried all wrecker on north and south of Brissy. Does any one know any personal bodies wrecking with this part. as i cant drive at night. bah please respect that i am new to the forum and dont expect you to guide me all the way to the product just a where to look would be nice thanks bsash
it just falls off and when u put it on it will turn but not click to turn on headlights , is it an easy fix, any help would be appreciated
the reason its not clicking is you probably lost the little ball bearing that sits on the spring and rolls over the plastic notches.... exuctive switches should be plentiful at the wreckers. you might even find a water logged switch unit on the ground at the wreckers, just crack it open and grab the bearing from to fix yours.... i just broke mine for the second time today taking the dash out to do my heater core so ill have to macgyver it again. the whole car is held together with duct tape and cable ties......
My brother VP switch does the same thing. +1 for going to wreckers and getting a second hand switch.. $5 max i reckon. go to wacol wreckers they are cheap i went there yesterday and got VT brake line and VS accel cable for $5
