vp aircon drains

i just got under and stuck a piece of wipper cord up the holes ,would only go 2 or so inches up then no furher.the right hand side released a lot of water as soon as i touched the split rubber cap on the drain opening, did not seem to be dirt holding the water up the tube, seemed like the rubber split had stuck together.i will see if the water now keeps coming in on the drivers side floor. The left hand side floor does not get wet and when i put my finger into the left hand side drain no water came out so it seems to be draining from there ok,but the rubber cap on the drain felt like it had half broken away.
