there were only 300 made, 150 in that dark grey colour and 150 in white...

your best bet to find one would be on ebay, carsales, carpoint.....they are gettin hard to find coz most have been smashd up. i went to look for one b4 i got my clubby, it was in perfect nick but it didnt have the front bumper, and as they are rare as hens teeth i passd on it

Im surprised Stealthy hasn't found this one.

They only made 111,770 VP making them the second lowest made (VB 95,906) most people will tell you that the VP SS is rare, especially in 5 speed. Yet most people havn't heard of the VP Calais International let alone seen one. they made 300 and it's hard to find one 100% factory, SS body kit, VQ boot lip, Calais gaurd spats and grill, pimped interior only found in the Cal Inter (and some VR statesmans im told) most are tampered with or dead.

check out me and my old man resto job here there are some nice one's on this forum tho

Give me time fella's. I only hit new posts, so if it drops down the list i miss it:p

Most of it has been covered.

300 made. 150 Black (Anthracite Grey) and 150 white. This was split down the middle for series 1 and 2, 75 each colour for series 1, 75 each colour for series 2.

All have full Calais luxuries, V8, with Auto, No manual option, hence why mine is converted. I was told by an ex holdens worker who worked on Internationals, and he said that they have different pistons than other V8s, no-one has been able to confirm or deny this, so i'm not sure what to make of it. Either way, he said they had a 'slight' edge over an SS on the test track. Any 'edge' would be long gone now with 16 years of driving.

The bodykit is VP SS lower kit, with a VQ Caprice bootlip. The big difference here, is they were single colour, not 2 tone like normal calais'. With this, came black window surrounds (one of the key things people miss when mocking a normal calais), not chrome like normal calais. Because of the lip, the badges are under the tail lights, not on the bootlid like all other VPs. The only other difference is the grill, it is a normal calais grill, with a badge plastic welded onto it.
The Tail lights have RED stripes, as there from an SS, not chrome like calais.
Stock wheels were 15in VQ Alloys, just with different centre caps.

The interior in all 300 was identical, Black top half, tan bottom half. Its unique in the fact no other VP had this colour. Some VR Caprices had the same colours, but the dash is completely different (so good luck finding parts lol)
The Door drims have inserts in them, with the same material as the seat inners. The International is the only SWB VN/VP/VQ era to have rear map pockets.
The seats are partial leather/suede, so you only burn the outsides of your legs in summer.
Steering wheel is a leather wrapped item, BUT, it is smaller than a normal calais bus steering wheel.
They also have a rear cig lighter (can't remember if normal calais' do or not, VQs do tho)

Pics of mine, not really that stock anymore lol

Hey Steathy, is that an actual Manual centre console, or have you chopped up an auto one. The opening around the boot leather, looks a little longer than most VN/VP's...??

it would be the auto one. the problem is that there is a special 'cover' over the centre console (calais), and the cover with a manual insert would be the hardest thing on earth to find :p

LOL your all wrong. Stocky got it. Genuine manual HSV console from a VR/S HSV (mine was VS Senator i think). And yes, it is a larger whole. Wider and longer for the proper manual console.

Ducker you havn't seen the auto one, that got cut up because i converted the car, but didn't have a cover. A few months later i found the manual one. Bargain for $250 i though (including the lower console aswell haha)

Its wider on both sides.......to cover Reverse (only 6 speeds had this console) and the ash tray.

I'm not sure whats the go with them. Never even seen one up close. Keep in mind i could have used a 5 speed console, the boot would just rub when going into 1st (the hole on a 6 speed console is further to the right). I just wanted to keep the pleather cover because thats what inters have ;)
