OTHER INFO: Hi, here is the story of my car
I bought this car when it had 180,000kms, I bought it from it's original female owner. When I purchased it, the car was a completely standard VP Calais as from the showroom.
Since then, it has had the following modifications:
* LPG Dual Fuel Conversion
* Professionally converted to manual, using T5 gearbox,
* Professionally lowered to lowest legal height with HSV shocks and King Springs
* 2.5inch Lukey Exhaust from the Cat Converter back (legal)
* Cold Air Intake from VS Supercharged V6 (larger than V8 intake - legal)
* K&N Air Intake (Panel, not illegal Pod)
* Simmons 16" Wheels
* 6x9 speakers in the back, 6x6 in the front, Sony XPLOD head unit
These are the extras. As for the rest of the car, it features all Calais options -
* Climate Control
* Cruise Control
* Power Everything
* Full Trip computer inc. Litres per 100km
* Auto turn off headlights
* Many more
The car is in good condition, it currently has one dent on the front left panel, and side rear panel, both from the previous owner, but i never got around to having fixed (see photo). Both are quite small, so i didnt worry about it.
Apart from this, car is in good mechanical condition, serviced within last 500km, and passed RWC last week. The only blight is a small vibration that comes from the specially made Flywheel for the converted gearbox. This causes no damage to the car though, and only noticeable above 4,000rpm
Car runs excellent on LPG and petrol (I used Premium), the last 100,000kms were driving long distance on freeway between Campbelltown and North Sydney, averages about 600km on a tank of petrol and 450km on a tank of gas (400km for $35)
Car is 100% legal, rare for a modified Commodore. Never had any defects. Very rare manual gearbox, there would be less than 50 manual Calais in the country.
The car is much loved, but I needed a new car for work, and stored it at my parents place while i considered keeping it. Unfortunately I can't afford 2 cars.
