Hi all, i have searched the forum about electric windows but not found an answer. As has been said my drivers side electric window won't wind down, just makes a ticking noise from the module. But on a really warm day it will wind up and down as normal. Any ideas?

could be the wiring or more likely the motor

edit: by motor i mean the window motor inside the door, not the car engine

The switch reverses the polarity so if the window moves either up or down i would say that the motor is ok so i would check the switch or wiring . Or maybe it could be something in the mechanism is binding.
