With my VQ the power window problems have been dirty contacts in the wiring loom or a low resistance motor. No problems with the window module.
You can check the motors by feeding 12V directly into the terminals in the door switches- it should drive the windows up and down if everything in the door's OK.

Also if Bailey channels dry high load on motor will make them not work or stop. Good service periodically spray silicon spray with straw generously in Bailey channels. Even if it's not a solution now will stop problems later.

I had a buddy fix my Calais power window module by resoldering some of the points. The non lead solder cracks over time.
