VP Clutch cable drama

hi I fitted a 5 speed manual from a vr into my vp and I am stuck how the cable is retained from the pedal to the gearbox fork.

the cable is loose as **** and i'm holding it from the top radiator support by a piece of rope to get tension on the cable.

what end does the cable adjuster go? what brackets are missing? I got the gearbox, pedalbox and cable.

nothing inbetween the pedal and the fork. when you put your foot on the clutch the cable pulls toward the firewall so obviously i'm missing a bit more brackets

Should be a big heavy round spacer and maybe a washer dont remember at the pedal end and a plastic adjuster screw at the gearbox end.
