hey guys i just got a brand new coolant sensor from holden for my VP.......was just wondering EXACTLY where abouts it is and is it just a "rip old one out and screw new one in" procedure? and will the car drop much coolant during the swap over..........cheers!!
Check that other thread u just posted in. It wont drip much, say 100ml if ur quick. Its just a 15mm i think, unsrew it then screw in the new one, n clip on the plug. Also take note of where the wireing harness is routed, it took me about 20min to figure out how to get it the right way around soo it all fitted like b4, and make sure you take off the neg terminal, it could arc off the Alt + cable to the block if u dont.
is this coolant sensor as in the sensor for the temp gauge in the car? situated under the alternator?
there are 2 under there, on the left is the temp sender (for guage) on the right is coolant sensor for ECU
all done............cheers for that mate!! also found a vacuum hose had come loose which wouldnt have helped...........runnin like a dream now!
wheres the vacuum hose to and where are all the vacuum hoses and joins located to in the whole engine bay
