VP S2 Engine into VL

I'm sure it's been asked many times before, and I'm sure there's a thread somewhere on this forum, although I cannot find one so I apologize, but here it is:

Would it be difficult to put a VP series 2 engine into a VL? What would be needed to do so? Labor prices etc?
