Morning all, I have a Vp / Lexcen that died on me the other week.
It started up fine, then got about 100m dont the road and it stopped.
I have fuel and spark and have changed the IAC valve to a 2nd hand unit as thought this could be the problem, and also did the fuel filter, all it does is crank and just wont fire.
I tried to check for error codes on the computer but i had the battery disconnected for a few days and all i got was number 12 so it might have deleted the previous codes if there was any.
Also when the ignition is turned on there is a fusing sound coming from the injector rail i think, but i dont beleive this is the problem as it was doing it before and there is fuel still going into the cyclinder.
Any help would be great please as my folks arnt liking me stealing there car all the time.
Thanks in advance

vs commodore
It could be a faulty CAS (Crank Angle Sensor). This can fail and not throw up any error codes and it will also stop the engine from firing up.Its pretty common for them to fail once they are a few years old.
