VP V6 Power Steering pressure hose (NOT VARITRONIC) from pump to rack
Hi, can anyone help source the oil seals at the ends of the flared pipes please.
They are a cylindrical in shape rather than oring.
Have tried ebay, Repco and Holden.

I think you will find that they are actually o rings, just with being under pressure, heated up and aged they have taken on a cylindrical (sometimes squarish) appearance.
They are still available from Holparts I think it was.

Many thanks for your reply and advice on o rings - have tried several more sites
but nothing for VP - might go to a power steering shop with the hose.

Yes,OP is better off buying a new HP hose, they do fail regulary and cripple the car.

In the early days of the VN/VP major dealers replaced the HP PS hose and HB at the 150,000K major service.
Those days are gone with modern cars unless its a Service Bulletin.

in a 304 the exhaust header heat destroys the HP hoses . Last time mine of mine blew out, maybe 7-8 years ago, I covered it with an insulated sleeve like a Kool Wrap. Seems to be working so far.
