What a nicely detailed and written tutorial, well done!
For those that have Google Chrome you can download a Photobucket extension which bypasses the stupid extortion picture and the original pictures show up.
It has been mentioned before in another thread in case anybody hasn't seen yet

Just another way of doing the sides undone if you don't have anything else at home like me then an oil filter removal tool will also fit in with slight nudge from the hammer and was really easy to remove them like that and hand holding the diff. Great instructions though, thanks for the "how to"

How do you get the axles out if they get stuck on the circlip? I've got one side out but the other side won't budge

I made a proper puller (adaptor used with my slide hammer) but failing that 2 pry bars, one on each side but levering on opposite sides generally pops them out.

The bearing retainers aren't left and right hand thread are they by chance
