Hi, I have a VQ Statesman with the fuel injected 5 litre. Lately it has started running rough particularly when im on the brake with the car in gear (traffic lights ect), I have bridged the ECU and it is displaying fault 45 (oxygen sensor rich). It is basicly a standard engine, the plugs are 10,000 km old, the leads, cap and rotor 30,000km. The engine light comes on occasionally when im on the brake in gear and goes off once i start moving, I am getting a vibration through the floor when i accelerate normally like the engine is missing or somethingbut if I nail it it just gets down and goes like normal, no power drop, no rough running. I was thinking that a sensor could have gone but am not sure which one, obviously the oxy sensor is displayinf fault but not sure if its that os doing it's job and telling me something is wrong. Could it be the air temp sensor in the manifold? or any other suggestions? Thanks your help is appreciated
things to do with code 44 and 45 are oxy sensor related - or vacuum related or map sensor related pretty much id say oxy sensor would be the first place id go though if northing else is new or changed in ya car
hey did you find the problem because my vq is doing the same thing and its got a brand new o2 senseor new plugs leads dizzy, extractors and gearbox but the vacumm line of the new box is snapped i was wondering if that could be it?
