VQ V6 3.8 93 Statesman series 2 auto : Starter motor replacement .

What has to be moved ( power steering rack or exhaust ) to get the starer motor out ? It has 3 speed auto transmission & is V6 3.8 .

You need to unbolt the rack. Might get away with undoing the main bolts and getting some movement in it, can't remember if the TRE needs disconnecting. Either that or you unbolt the pass engine mount and raise the engine a little.
