i was thinking like deuce what would the difference be dif wire colours and harness plugs
could i get away with a vr manual ecu and eng loom by modifying some plugs?

For starters vr all goes through passenger side just like vn/p...manual harness is basically modded vn/p with speedo diferences iirc & 2 plug ecu although auto setups can be made to work.

vs harness ecu plugs go through passenger firewall like previous models then wires for everything else goes along firewall to drivers side plugs.

Then got vs series 3 with maf sensor, different speedo wiring due to getrag...if auto more like vt setup with inhibitor on trans.

Several other little differences & ways to get around it all just need to know which parts for which car model will make a conversion easier.

I'm sure I've mentioned differences a few times before.

pcmhacking would have nitty bitty details buried somewhere & some peeps to help with tuning side or just hit up Joe at Ace Performance Tuning if you're in a rush.

Much prefer to use same model parts where possible but can also use vn/p harness then modify it some + repin or go vs auto loom/ecu...either way not exactly plug n play

What is the car factory vr 304/auto or vs 304/auto?

Been a few years since I've looked into but basically if car is vr stay with the vr v8 auto loom if vs then obviously vs v8 auto loom.

Rewire trans loom for inhibitor/reverse lights & speedo sensor which I think needs repin or bridging(?)...then need memcal tune to get auto fault codes disabled & ecu/tune so it all works as it should...manual tune lower idle & a few other differences iirc

speedo sensor on t5 is same as vn/p auto or manual cars but different signal to vr/s auto vss hence final hurdle...I/m sure I've read on pckhacking something to do with repin or bridging wires to overcome that issue.

I use Joe at Ace Performance Tuning because he is only Sydney tuner I know still doing delco tunes & close enough to visit if any issues.Used few pcm peeps for mail-order tunes just that they're in other states
