hi i put a new 5hdd trans in my vr last week and its been really good untill today i came off the motor way and it changed down hard then when i went to go again it wouldnt change out of 2nd unless i made it rev really high and like just take my foot off abit it would change hard and then the same for next gear it is also very harsh going into drive and reverse out of park the weird thing is it is making the car run bit rough like when you pull up at lights sometimes it will stop also when doing like 60km it is like missing you can see rev counter going up and down like its droping in and out of a gear i have checked the tmf and its fine still nice and red and smells good i was thinking there was something wrong with trans but after reading abit on here i am now not sure maybe its something else can anyone help me please.

I didn't think a 5hdd trans with 13 pins on connector would fit a VR - should have a 4hdd trans with 12 pins??....other than that, I'd look at the TPS (throttle position sensor)

so i did the code check on the car and it came up with these.
    19- throttle position sensor stuck
22- throttle position sensor low voltage
31- theft deterrent signal missing not sure about this one.

so i have tried another throttle sensor and made no better what do you think now??

Reading your first post make me think the fluid level is either too low or too high making the oil pump suck air or if too high thrash around and aerate the oil.

so i had alook today to make sure that little bit was in the throttle sensor and yes it is i took it down the road again and it will change gear at 3000rpm soon as you hit that it changes when you first start the car it is smooth going into drive and that but as soon as you use the throttle it goes back to being harsh going into drive and that and after that car runs bit rough and rich.
