Hi fellas
EPA notice regarding noise test
Must be no more than 90 decibels
Current reading 92-93
Car has pacemaker extractors and 2.5inch system
Has original cat and rear resonator
What can be done to drop noise further other than putting in original system
Any info/advice appreciated

Find a stock rear muffler and have the flare modified to 2 1/2" so it fits the front section. Fit that and it will pass.

How did you get unlucky enough to get noise tested?

Make up metal plate in shape of flange gasket..drill holes to shut it up....remove after it passes.

Old heads used to jam in tailpipe/mufflers steel wool *shrugz*

If think it's a neighbour or an ex dobbing you in might need get really resterictive rear muffler put on to kill all noise...have it flanged so you can fit/remove next time saga happens & store in shed.

I was going to say the same thing
It heats up, burns and falls out after a while.

So I rang EPA and they stated a member of the public reported it!!, not a police officer
It’s a ridiculous allowance for the public to ring in!!
Could be anyone on the road for whatever reason
This car has been like this for 15 years in my possession
Anyway it’s a real pain in the ass!! 60 bucks for inspection too.
