Vr 94 1st gear not changing

    VR Clubsport 94 185i, All goes good however the first gear doesnt change to Second unless you let your foot off the accelerator. Any ideas of how much? or DIY? or what it could be? Cheers

    Is the 1->2 shift very harsh when it does change? If so then probably Throttle Position Sensor, otherwise 1->2 shift solenoid needs to be replaced (can be done in the pan without removing trans).
