anyone got any ideas as to why my engine light comes on at random. i can go days wihtout it comming on, then out of random comes on. it does not flash it just stays on. you can drive for 10mins at times before it will come up. car runs well still. been driivn it for last 3 weeks like it.beleive if there is a problem it should flash my engine light dont. just comes on at random. any help be grateful.

G'Day John, could be one of the shift solenoids playing up in the trans.....do like Bretts says as every time the engine light comes on it "should" leave a code....hope the tail-lights are workin!!!!
