Iv just put a vs auto transmission into a vr, everything bolts up fine and i changed that back housing thing for the speed sensor.. problem is i also replaced the vr torque converter with the vs one thinking they would be the same, after gettin it sittin up there i find out with the torque converter pushed rightin there is about a 13mm gap between it and the flex plate. Is something different or is it how its ment to sit?

I cannot tell you for sure if the converters are the same but I can say that sometimes it takes quite some time to fully seat the converter to the transmission. Keep trying!!! Hopefully this is your problem.

i bolted up the torque converter afterwords put it in with the gearbox so that wasn't much of a problem, the box is flush with the motor just there is play in the torque converter
