I want a strong gearbox for a vr will one from a vx fit a vr if so does any one have one
or a performance gear box will be good if any one has one

also which of the gear boxes thats suitable for a vr is the strongest

the most redily available, cheapest option for a stronger trans that will suit a vr is the 4L65E, that being said, unless your putting out over 300hp (at the treads) the 4L60E is more than capable, especially if it is shift kitted.

how much are those 4l65e and what vehicle do they come out of?
also will they bolt straight up to a vr 3.8ltr?

umm, i think they started coming out in from 2004 onwards (i think!...) they will bolt straight up as its basically the same transmission just a bit more "heavy duty" the the '60E...they where originally designed to handle the LS6 in corvettes i believe (just to give you an idea of how strong they are)
oh yeah, price....well it differs a bit from what ive noticed but about $2k should get you a good reco'd second hand one.
