vr box on a vs?

    im guessing your talking about putting a VR Man. gearbox in a VS????

    should bolt up, but im pretty sure the electrics will give you a hard time

    mounts and bolts are same from VN-VY, but electronics are a headache which I think is incurable. just save the hassle and buy a box to suit your model/year or get current box rebuilt

    yeah i dont think it is worth the effort of trying to get a vr one to fit a vs. If you are looking for a replacement box, there are plenty of auto vs boxes out there

    it will bolt up but wont work i think, the vr is not as electrically controlled as the vs

    The simplest thing: do you have a power button on the console? If you do, it's a 4L60E.

    There are couple of other ways to identify it.
    1. Look on the passenger side for a large round plug with around 15 wires in it - if it has 15 or so wires & a round plug it is definately a 4L60E.
    2. Drop the pan & have a look. If all you see is metal, then it's the TH700R4/4L60, but if you can see a number of black plastic bodied solenoids you have a 4L60E.

    hi, yes they will swap straight over and work,. connectors are all the same.
