Had a compression test done on my V6 VR early this year and these are the results, I think it was a dry test?
Cyl Comp (psi)
1: 130
2: 140
3: 140
4: 140
5: 135
6: 140

Had about 265xxx k's on it at the time, does the above indicate a healthy motor or does it look like trouble?

Old thread but does anyone know what the compression figures would be on a low km engine.
I have figures from 140 - 155 VR Buick. But i have no idea if this is as good as the mech says they are.

If I recall correctly it would be around 165psi with 99 being the minimum allowable figure which is really poor in my opinion.

We do 150 - 155psi with a cam in an s1 buick which is lower comp than vr .140-150 is still healthy give or take some gauge variance and cranking speed .

Thanks Delco and VS, sounds like mine is fairly decent.

Can be massive variations in pressures between gauges too. Some are 20-30psi different. But at the end of the day you’re more looking for consistency than anything else so pinpoint accuracy isn’t as important as repeatability.
