    Hey Guys,

Anyone ever tried to put a level 3 instrument cluster with the trip computer into an executive ? the wreckers advised me that they two arent really interchangable ? just wondering how much of a headache it is and if it is worth it for the better look and functionality ?

    Not too Hard.

I have recently done the swap on a VS S2.

One issue is that VN/VP level 3 clusters look the same, but are wired differently. Make sure that you get a VR or VS level 3 cluster for a VR. The earlier ones can be modified to fit, but I would classify that as major electrical work.

Need the cluster, the trip computer buttons and a patch wiring harness. The last item is the most difficult item to source. Options are to get one made from scratch, modidy a Calais/Berlina/Statesman harness or buy a new harness to modify.

Once you have all the bits, it is only a couple of hours work. Most of that is patching into the car wiring harness.

I am more than happy with the outcome. Should have done it years ago.
