vr caprice radio upgrade

Gday guys. Any chance you can upgrade the vr caprice stereo and still retain the use of the rear roof controls and steering wheel controls? May have been covered but I have been searchibg for sometime now and I cant find anything

Hi mate, I did some digging and found that this topic isn't really covered well, There seems to have been little done in the way of compatibility for the VR-VS model, The VT-VX model and up seems to have better aftermarket options. This poor bloke asked nearly three years ago with no answer http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/vr-caprice-steering-wheel-and-rear-controls.230960/ . But i did find this, http://www.soundmaster.com.au/Stinger-CAT10-Steering-Wheel-Control-Interface/CAT10/ . Unfortunately it seems to have been discontinued, But if you could find a second hand unit you may have a solution.

But even the second hand market seems scarce, these two guys i guess never found them.

Another one i found was a universal option called the PAC SWI-X, But as again very little in the way of VR VS compatibility. The websites compatibility list does not even mention Holden but this bloke gave it a try with his VS but left no word as to if it worked or not and naturally no response to his question either. https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/anyone-hooked-up-a-pac-swi-x-to-vs.36300/

Sorry i could not have been more helpful but this is the best i could find as i have no experience with the VR VS models Audio wise.
