Check me engine light fault codes today by bridging 5 and 6 pin. found the following fault 12 = All Clear Fault 43 = knock Sensor I had a look at me knock sensor and the little black plastic cap that clips onto knock sensor was off knock sensor. so looks like im up for a new wiring harness for knock sensor plus a new knock sensor. has anyone else had this prob with there v6 VR? how easy are the knock sensors to get out. looks like a big job if i have to replace knock sensor wiring harness. any advice or help be gratefully appreciated.:idea:
contacted holded today for knock sensor plug. they said they no longer make the knock sensor nor the plug that connects to knock sensor. contacted wreckers they said they cant help me out. where to from ere. i dont know...anyone had the same problem as my wire/plug is now hangin completely off the knock sensor as my plug is damaged beyond repair. maybe it time to ditch the old vr and upgrade to a newer car...
