Hi I've been working on my commodore and noticed that when it rains and when I wash it it leaks into the boot and makes little puddles under the carpet and fills the wells where the spare wheel sits and on the other side. does anyone know where it could be coming from and how to fix it?

ive checked and theres no rust but the boot seal is cut here and there due the the previous owner needing a wheelchair which n=may have cut the as seal as it was taken in and out of the boot

another common one is the opera window seal.....just close the car up run a hose over one section at a time and watch for water ingress

Best idea is to get inside the boot (if you're small enough) with a torch, and get someone (that you trust) to close the boot lid and squirt water at various parts of the car while you watch with the torch. If the leak is coming from the fixed rear 1/4 (opera) windows, you will see the water running down the inside between the wheel arch and the side of the car.

Tail lights would be the #1 culprit.

This would be a good start...Having cuts in the seal would mean it's not sealing properly
